A Small Piece of Heaven
Night by night I drift in dream
With a twilight moon at the sun's requiem.
Reminiscing on the days remembered.
Reluctantly is the past surrendered.
Thought by thought is passed and pale,
When compared to the presents nightingale.
A benevolent thrush is equated bliss,
That makes ashen memories all seem amiss.
Day by day I live and love.
Not Hades below nor Allah above
Could refute the troth in the memories I write,
Or render the bliss in the memories I'll cite.
Wish by wish I've passed in prayer,
Of majestic revisions my soul would ensnare.
An enchanting hug with a kiss and a sigh.
A small piece of heaven has fell from the sky.
